P4 | LONDON BUS

The project consists of audio, film, and folding book. In the folding book, I will show the route I will pass on the London P4 bus in the form of a map. On the map, you can see the symbolic language I designed, the information my partner Chris and I exchanged during the trip, as well as the weather, interesting people, and traffic signs on the road. This book is aimed at urban residents who commute to and from get off work every day. The purpose is to make people rethink all the information about riding a car, how to break the barriers between social media, traffic, and the fixed environment, which is usually repeated boring. How to reinterpret the message in an interesting and romantic way. At the same time, a simple version of this book was created for children. They can use all materials (such as colored pencils, paintbrushes, stickers, and collages) and draw on the folding map book to form their own unique bus travel diary. The entire book uses RGB colors to match the film. When the movie is projected on the book by the projector, the folded book will form a new shape change. Using edited audio, this is the art installation design I created this semester. It has all the information contained when I take the P4 bus, such as weather, occupancy rate, mood, etc. This information are explained through my understanding and methods. In terms of movies, it is made up of the symbolic language I created, and the symbolic language is created by the inspiration I gave when I took the London P4 bus. I have re-edited the sound recorded in the film and the background music that represents the mood. I hope that people can rethink and see all the information they receive while in the bus, and open new horizons when in the bus. It can also be changed. It is very artistic and creative.
